We are not born equal, admit it.
Of course, equal opportunities and stuff are stated in laws, but law does not change the nature of inequality in this world. Imagine an equal world, could you? The equal world I know of is the end of universe: entropy=max, in other words, heat death. Think of it this way, it is actually the inequality that created all the diversity this world has to offer, so that at least I am myself and you are yourself, we are not equal.
Equal opportunity is a vague theory and could not be proven. That's why politicians use it for their blatant lies. Legal enforcement of things like a certain proportion of minor races in universities/companies sounds very politically correct, however unless the true ratio of minor races applicants could be qualified to get the position is exactly the same as legislated, in which case such legislation becomes fudge, there will either be sub-par minor race getting in leaving qualified major race out, or sub-par major race getting in leaving qualified minor race out, which is unfair either way.
In terms of religions, there is no equality amongst them. For example Muslims appraises extermination of all pagans, while modern Christianity does not appreciate that and calls for tolerance to other religions its followers are only going to become victims of Muslims if both religions were treated equally (Muslims are already invading traditional Christian countries, building mosques all over Europe while you would never see a church in Muslim states). The same is with intolerance of atheists towards religious people and such. You just can't make things equal sometimes.
Equality is a good as a slogan, and it better stay that way because you will never achieve it.
